Homicide
The Government of the Province of Nova Scotia is offering a reward in the amount of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the homicide of Cortrell Thomas.
On March 31, 2025 at about 9 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of gunshots on Ancona Place in Dartmouth. Officers arrived on scene and located a man who had been shot outside of a residence. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police say people may have information they have not shared with police.

The reward is payable in Canadian funds and will be apportioned as deemed just by the Minister of Justice for the Province of Nova Scotia. Employees of law enforcement and correctional agencies are not eligible to collect this reward.
