The Government of the Province of Nova Scotia is offering a reward in the amount of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the homicide of Isaac Downey.

On January 19, 2025, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of gunshots at about 3 a.m. near Lahey Road and Clarence Street in Dartmouth. Officers arrived on scene and found a man and woman with gunshot wounds, and they were taken to hospital. Mr. Downey was pronounced deceased later at hospital. Police say people may have information they have not shared with police.

The reward is payable in Canadian funds and will be apportioned as deemed just by the Minister of Justice for the Province of Nova Scotia. Employees of law enforcement and correctional agencies are not eligible to collect this reward.
