Homicide

The Government of the Province of Nova Scotia is offering a reward in the amount of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the homicide of Jayden Tynes.

On November 2, 2025, police responded to a report of shots fired on Cain Street in North Preston. When officers arrived, several people were providing medical assistance to Mr. Tynes. Paramedics took him to hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Police believe some people may have information that has not yet been provided to investigators.

The reward is payable in Canadian funds and will be apportioned as deemed just by the Minister of Justice for the Province of Nova Scotia. Employees of law enforcement and correctional agencies are not eligible to collect this reward.
