Intergovernmental Affairs is the central agency of the Nova Scotia government
responsible for coordinating the province's relations with other governments
(the federal and other provincial and territorial governments as well as foreign
national and sub-national governments).
Intergovernmental Affairs coordinates the development of positions on issues of
importance to all Nova Scotians, for promotion by the Premier at meetings such
as First Ministers Meeting,
Council of the Federation,
Council of Atlantic
Premiers, and meetings of the New England Governors and Eastern Canadian
Premiers.
