The Province of Nova Scotia is offering a reward in the amount of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the homicide of Jason Andrew Smith.

On December 15, 2019, a 911 call was received advising that Jason Smith was being transported by vehicle to the Dartmouth General Hospital with a gunshot wound. Jason Smith was pronounced dead at 4:23 a.m. on December 16th, 2019.

Investigators with Halifax Regional Police believe there are persons who have information they have not offered to the police that could result in arrests and possible charges.

The reward is payable in Canadian funds and will be apportioned as deemed just by the Minister of Justice for the Province of Nova Scotia. Employees of law enforcement and correctional agencies are not eligible to collect this reward.
