The Government of the Province of Nova Scotia is offering a reward in the amount of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the homicide of Quintez Downey.

On January 27, 2021, a 911 call was received advising that Quintez Downey was being transported by vehicle from North Preston to the hospital with a gunshot wound, when the vehicle was met by EHS on Portland Street, Dartmouth.  Quintez Downey was subsequently pronounced deceased at 12:49 PM on January 27, 2021. 

Investigators believe there are persons who have information they have not offered to the police that could result in arrests and possible charges.

The reward is payable in Canadian funds and will be apportioned as deemed just by the Minister of Justice for the Province of Nova Scotia. Employees of law enforcement and correctional agencies are not eligible to collect this reward.
