The public consultations held during March and April gave Nova Scotians an opportunity to share their ideas on sustainable ways to use these lands to create future economic, social and environmental gains for the western region and the whole province. A summary of what was heard is set out below. To the right are links to various parts of the report. The report and web pages do not include individual names to ensure privacy. The information gathered through the consultations has helped the department develop a sustainable plan for the land and will continue to guide our land and resource planning and decision-making.
