Special Places

In Nova Scotia, the Special Places Protection Act permits sites to be identified that are of strategic scientific or cultural value. Geoheritage sites in Nova Scotia that are singled out include the Joggins Fossil Cliffs and 'fossil cliffs of Parrsboro', which includes the early dinosaur site of Wasson Bluff.
