Drug Information System - Portal Technical Support

Support for the Drug Information System is provided by the Nova Scotia Health Authority. When you call for support, the phone will be answered by the Health IT Service Desk.

You will be provided with the Service Desk number when you receive your Drug Information System user ID.

What to Say When You Call

To request support from the Health IT Service Desk:

  • say that you have a question about the Drug Information System Portal (they need to know that you are calling specifically about the Drug Information System Portal and that you are not calling from a community pharmacy about the Drug Information System)
  • give them your name and telephone number where you can be reached

Support Hours

The Drug Information System is supported by a team of clinical application specialists at the Nova Scotia Health Authority.

The Health IT Service Desk is open to log calls for the Drug Information System Support Team 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Drug Information System Support Team is available Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Drug Information System Downtime

If the Drug Information System is down unexpectedly, a notice will appear on the portal login screen.

The maintenance window for the Drug Information System is Thursday from 12:30am to 8am. The system may be unavailable during this time.
